Practicing With Your Intuition

In the last blog, I spoke about your intuition. Here are a couple of practical steps to get in touch with it.

If you have a decision to make, close your eyes, maybe put your hand on your heart, take a deep breath and ask your higher-self what is the best choice to make regarding a situation and notice what feels right.

Let go of your logical mind as you do this. Feel into your heart and learn to trust what feels right. Try this with small things at first – maybe what food you should be eating now.

This is about learning to trust that communication again. I know that at the beginning you may think you’re making it up but over time, you do learn to trust yourself and your intuition. The Universe will always give you an answer which is best for you, but we have put the trust in ourselves that we are hearing it correctly.

Another way is to take a piece of paper and draw two columns.  Call column one ‘Heart’ and the other column ‘Mind’. In the Heart column write down what you feel is the best decision and why. In the Mind column similarly write down what your logical brain is saying and why.

Our mind tells us what’s best on the information we have at hand but I’ve found that the intuitive answer is based on what may happen in the future since our higher-self can ‘see’ things that we can’t.

After many years of practice, I have a good connection. I bought a property a few years ago and used my intuition to decide which ones to see. The place I bought was only the second one I saw and it’s perfect.

I’ve heard other people say they spend many weekends looking at lots of places before they find what they want. I used my intuition to guide me to view only the places which suited me.

Play with this and take small steps towards building that trust in your intuitive ability. The Universe knows what you want, what is best for you and can help you get there with your intuition.
