It’s the end of the 30 days for Jo. It’s been hard work at times to keep up with what she intended. Work’s been so busy that even getting up 10 minutes earlier to do meditation was a struggle at times. As was trying to feel grateful when she was ready to fall asleep.
But she’s really happy that she stuck with it because she has noticed changes in her attitude and how she approaches things.
She now does her gratitude list after her dinner at night, not right before sleep because sometimes she’s up late and then it’s just too hard. But she’s come to love that feeling of gratitude filling her mind and body as she does it.
She started to see it as a beautiful golden light, flowing through her body. And the funny thing is, now when she visualises that, she kind of just starts to feel grateful. Almost as as if her mind and body now associate that light with feeling grateful.
She realises feeling grateful has made her think more of what she’s achieved and what she has to be grateful for in life, as opposed to always thinking of the next thing to do or to have. She sees that she was looking forward most of the time – what was happening tomorrow, the next place to go out, the next thing to buy.
Now she looks back at her day, her week and is realising her life is good. It makes her stop and smell the roses. She took her salary for granted, even though it’s not high. But now Jo’s grateful that she can pay her bills with it and go out. And she’s realising her life is good – she has great friends, she loves her painting class and she enjoys her work even though it’s busy and hard at times.
The meditation was so hard, even if it was for just 3 days a week! The first couple of weeks it was so tempting to stay in bed. But once Jo makes a commitment, she sticks with it. Even with the guided meditations, her mind kept wandering. But by week 3, she felt it was slightly better and so by week 4 she decided to keep going with it.
Jo’s now used to getting up slightly earlier so she think she may do meditation every day. She has noticed she’s calmer getting ready for work. Even if she has to rush, or there’s traffic, she notices she’s not so frustrated as she used to be.
What has surprised her, is that she feels much calmer at work and more focused. Before, her thoughts used to wander off in all directions regarding the project. But now she can focus on working on different aspects of it without losing track and trying to remember what she was aiming to do in the first place!
Jo also used to feel her anger rise quickly every time some issue happened with her project. People could tell she wasn’t happy! But she’s realised, that anger isn’t really there anymore. She gets annoyed but she doesn’t react like she used to.
In fact, she takes it in her stride in a calm manner and works on resolving the problem. She’s also noticed that her team seem more open to speaking with her about any issues there are, almost as if some invisible barrier between them has gone.
She’s not sure if it’s the meditation making her calmer and more focused, but something is definitely changing!
She loves the segment intending. She’s been making notes for what happens when she can and she realises that things do go better with setting intentions. Not every time, but most of the time things are good.
She now’s segment intending automatically. If she drives somewhere she asks for a safe journey, she asks that meetings go well and are productive, she asks that her exercise sessions are fun.
The best one was when she gave intent that she would be confident giving a presentation at work and that it would go well (no hiccups with the presentation technology!). And she felt much better giving that presentation. She wasn’t as stressed before it or hesitant in what she said, like she sometimes is. She can’t believe giving her intent worked so well!
Another strange things she’s found is that she’s now looking at more healthy recipes as opposed to getting takeaways or putting things in the microwave as she usually does.
Jo’s realised that she can make delicious salads, not just lettuce leaves and tomatoes! She knows she’s taking better care of her health now. She used to love her takeaways but now she cooks more at weekends, and takes time to make salads during the week.
Jo presumes it’s all part of this journey of raising her vibration. Her thoughts of gratitude are high vibrational, so maybe her body is matching that with eating better?
Jo’s even sat down to work out how she can save more money to fund her 6 month travel goal. She likes buying clothes and she’s decided to cut her budget for them. She’ll still buy new clothes, just not as many.
And she’s seen other places where she can make small savings. It’s making Jo feel great because her savings pot is growing and she’s feeling that she can achieve her goal, something she wasn’t sure about a month ago. How fabulous!
Jo is grateful that she made that decision a month ago and stuck with it, because her life is changing, even in a month. She feels much better within herself. She’s sensing that there is something out there, a force, call it the Universe or what you want. When you engage with it through your feelings and intent, it starts to give you what you want.
She feels it’s the start of an exciting journey into the unknown with a “partner” who will help you manifest what you desire. Because of this, Jo decides she’ll carry on with these things everyday and make it part of her lifestyle. She’s now used to having it in her life and she knows it’s making a difference for the better.
There’s still a way to go as regards her travel goal but in a way, she now feels it’s achievable whereas before, part of her thought it would never happen. And not only that, she’s feeling so much better about her life now that the gratitude exercise has shown her what she has to be grateful for.
Jo decides she’d be mad to stop doing these simple manifestation techniques now that she’s made the effort to put them into her daily life.
