When things go wrong during the day, we hear the expression “I got out the wrong side of the bed”. Wouldn’t it be great to get out of the right side of the bed everyday?!

There is much evidence to show that how we start the day dictates how things will turn out. If we think of everything as vibrations and like attracting like, this makes sense. We get out of bed, something happens and we’re late for work. The toast burns, we can’t find what we need and so on.
You tell yourself it’s going to be a bad day and so it is! You’ve put yourself in a negative mindset and that just attracts the negative events during the rest of the day. We are “energy attractors” and magnetize to ourselves what we expect.
In the book “Three Feet From Gold” by Sharon L. Lechter and Greg S. Reid there’s a saying:
“Your first 5 minutes dictate your day.”
If you get out of bed feeling good, then this will help your mood during the rest of the day. You may be late for work but the good feeling will be there from when you got up and will help you feel better.
Set your alarm 5 minutes earlier so that you can think of something good when you wake up. Maybe see everything going well for the day – the schoolrun, the meetings, etc. Set your intent that “today will be a good day”. It may not seem much but it makes all the difference in the world. Try it and see!
