The previous blog was about how our subconscious mind may stop us from achieving what we want and how we should work towards resonance between our conscious and subconscious minds.
Resonance simply means that our conscious and subconscious are aligned in our beliefs. For example, a professional singles tennis player would have complete resonance when it comes to knowing they can win tennis tournaments. But put them into a doubles match, then that resonance may disappear. Consciously they may think they may do well, but subconsciously there may be beliefs that they haven’t got the skills for playing a doubles match.
When it comes to jobs, we get a certain salary and we have resonance in earning that much. Now someone comes along and says you must get a job earning £10,000 more. Consciously we may think this is feasible, but subconsciously we may feel out of our depth trying to get that salary even if others in the same industry earn that much.
To get your subconcious mind aligned to what you want, use affirmations and visualization. For example, whatever your goal, say it as if it’s happened and watch your feelings, e.g. I’m now in my dream job earning £80,000. If you feel any doubt, then subconsciously there are still blocks. When you can say the statement and feel good, then you know you’re on your way.
Resonance comes when we “know” that we can achieve our goal – it’s an inner knowing and belief that it will happen, we don’t even have to know when or how. It’s one of those inexplicable feelings that we can’t put into words but we just have a certainty that it will happen.
Take the steps to get your subconsious and conscious minds aligned. When you start to believe in yourself and know that you can do this, that’s a good sign that your subconscious in now in resonance and aligned with your conscious mind. From that point, anything is possible!
