Spirituality and meditation seem to go hand in hand, why is that? The Universe, your soul and higher self exist in higher dimensions and one of the best ways to access these realms is via meditation. With practice, you can start to connect with the Universe during meditation as your consciousness starts to focus.

Peoples’ aims on their spiritual journey may be different – ask yourself what are you trying to learn, what state do you want to get to? Mine was to be conscious of the Universe, my higher self at all times, even when going about my daily life. After many years of practice, I can do this but there is always more to learn. Your goals may change as you continue.
Meditation is about being and focusing on the Now moment. You can achieve this is different ways – yoga, exercise, running, walking, gardening, etc. These activities concentrate your mind on being present. The aim is to let go of other distractions and what is happening in your life.
If meditation is too difficult now, is there something you can do where you feel present and in the moment. Try to do that regularly and become the observer, noticing what it’s like to be present and focused on one thing.

The aim is to get your mind to focus and to become the master of your thoughts. Once you can do this, you can start to use meditation to connect to the Universe, to your higher self and learn what’s next for you on your journey – it’s exciting! 🙂
