The Olympics have just finished in Paris and you may well have spent time watching it and reading about these amazing athletes.
When you hear their stories on how long they’ve waited for a medal and how some of them had the dream as a child, it really inspires you to create the goals dear to your heart.

But think about this, the athletes that want to retain their medal and the ones that missed out on one, know they have 4 years in which to prepare and excel.
If you thought it would take you years to accomplish your goal, would you throw in the towel and give up right now?!
What attitude can you adopt from the mindset of Olympians to help you manifest your goals?
If you’re struggling to manifest your goals and getting frustrated with how long it’s taking, think about the mindset of Olympians.
They have a deep inner belief that they have the ability to get a medal. Do you have that unshakeable faith and belief with your goal?
Ask yourself how much it means to you to achieve this goal and are you prepared to do what it takes, e.g. go beyond your comfort zone to take the actions required or put in the extra hours.
They have great resilience. They may lose some events but that just keeps them motivated to see where they went wrong and learn from it.
Do you have that ability? Or like many of us, when something goes wrong do you think you’ve failed and give up?
Instead, incorporate that resilience into your life and see all setbacks as something you can learn from.
Reframe a failure, see it as something to learn from on your road to success.
One of the biggest things they have is patience. Imagine being told your goal will take a year or more. Many of us may just give up then and there!
So take a leaf out of their books. If a goal is dear to your heart, keep taking the actions to achieve it and forget about how long it’s taking. Have patience.
These athletes have a lot of support –coaches, mentors as well as family, These people believe in them and help them towards their goals.
Would it help you to have someone on your side, cheering you on and motivating you? Then find a mentor or coach who believes in you and your ability and will help you manifest your goal.
If you can visualize your goal, it’s waiting to manifest in your life.
Become like an Olympian in your own life. Keep taking the actions, keep going even if the weeks go by and nothing much seems to be happening.
Create a support system if that’s what it takes. Find a coach to help you or speak with people who support you and can help.
Continually taking forward steps towards your goal will create the belief and knowing it will happen. At this point it has to appear in your life.
